Dale Lee Morris, 57, of Halifax, died Thursday, October 29, 2009. Dale was the son of the late Hubert Bolt Morris.

Dale served in the National Guard for six years, was a life long farmer and was employed with the North Carolina Wildlife. He was a member of The Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church. Dale never met a stranger, loved people and would help anyone in need.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Morris Walker of Roanoke Rapids; his sister, Pamela Morris Walsh of Halifax; his half sister, Karen Frances Dickens of Wilmington; and his brother, Tony Morris and his wife, Pam, of Lake Gaston.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Michael Thorn officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Enfield.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 31, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
